Toddler Group

Our Baby & Toddler Group meet every Wednesday morning, during term time, in the School’s Community Room (the door next to main reception).

The session is open to all from newborns upwards, along with their Mummys, Daddys, Grandparents, Childminders, etc.  The group is a wonderful chance for your little ones to play and make new friends, whilst you can enjoy a cup of tea and socialise.

Feel free to drop in anytime after 9am. The session runs until  11:15am. There is a small charge of £2 per family to cover costs (although your first week is free).

CRAFT

There is a different craft activity every week. Activities are varied, involving a wide range of materials for the children to explore.  This can be anything from playdough squirrels to….. personalised bird feeders to….. balloon ghosts to…. something of the more edible kind...

READING

The craft activity is themed along with a short reading session reflecting the school’s emphasis on the enjoyment of reading and fuelling an interest in books from an early age.

OUTSIDE PLAY

The group also gets to spend some time in the Early Years' playground (providing it is not raining!).  There are all sorts of bikes and trikes to try, a pirate ship climbing frame, hobbit house, stage, sandpit and outside painting - plus lots of other fun things for the little ones to discover!

SNACKS & DRINKS

A snack of toast and fruit is provided, along with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee, juice and water and of course, the ever popular box of biscuits!

MUSICAL FUN!

The session finishes with a nursery rhyme sing-along.  There is also some music to dance along to and our parachute to shake balls on and even dive underneath for ‘under the sea’ fun with lots and lots of bubbles!

 PARTY TIME!

The group holds parties on special occasions, such as Halloween, Christmas and Easter.  This is a brilliant chance for the little ones to get involved in such festivities.  They enjoy getting dressed up, listening and dancing to the music and indulging in some party food.

Occasional visitors include children’s entertainers, professional photographers and, if they’ve been good, a very special man with a red suit and white beard visits around Christmas time!
