Equalities Team
Grappenhall Heys Community Primary School is committed to the principles and practices of inclusion and equality in all areas of school life, for all stakeholders including, most importantly, our pupils.
We believe there is an explicit link between inclusion and equal opportunities. This does not mean treating all pupils in the same way; rather it involves taking account of pupils’ varied life experiences, opportunities and needs.
Our pupil-led Equalities Team - inclusive of pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 - lead pupils in every class, to learn that we all belong together in our school, regardless of different races, religions, sexualities, genders, abilities and ages.
Self-nominated into the team through a statement of their interest and proposed impact, our Team members champion British Values, uphold Protected Characteristics and work towards our School Values to create empowered global citizens of tomorrow.
