April 2024 - Parent OPAL Survey
A huge part of our school offer is play for all children. We have been developing our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) offer and this week we have been accredited as an OPAL platinum school.
As part of the process, we asked for parent voice, which was incredibly positive.
"My child is always outside at home so loves being outside at school. She is always telling me about playing outside at school with friends."
"I think it's brilliant as it is - the space that Grappenhall Heys has is such a benefit to the school."
"I was in school as a helper recently and got an insight into just how fun and purposeful playtime is at Grappenhall Heys. There were so many inviting spaces allowing for unstructured and open ended play activities which the children were completely immersed in."
Thank you to our Early Years' parents for completing our recent survey. The feedback was overwhelming positive, any suggestions are always given careful consideration when evaluating if we can move our offer forward. We are delighted that all parents who responded feel happy and assured that they made the right decision choosing our school.
Some quotes from our parents:
- "My child is happy and thriving at Grappenhall Hey's, it's clear to see that the staff are excellent at managing and engaging with the children and that is reflected in how happy they all appear to be." Reception Butterfly Parent
"We are incredibly impressed with the school and its dedicated teachers. It's evident that the teachers genuinely care about both the school and the children. Their commitment to education and the well-being of the children is truly commendable." Reception Ladybird Parent
"Cannot thank the Reception team enough! They have been so supportive with 'my child', and have so much patience with 'them'. The school couldn't do more for 'my child', and in just one term, 'they' have come along so much." Reception Ladybird Parent

Thank you for all the extra work you put into making learning so much fun for the children, it makes such a huge difference."
"Fabulous school, in every way!"

"Our daughter has thrived since joining the school. There is a noticeable difference in the levels of positive energy at the school and she is pushed to achieve more but in a supportive environment. She is particularly enjoying the Opal play."
"We have had a great start to school and are very happy with our choice of school. We feel the teachers are passionate and our child is happy."
November 2022 - Parent feedback on SEND support from school
We held a coffee morning in school to welcome parents of children with special education needs or disbailities. Parents of all our children were invited to the event. The feedback from our parents was very positive.
"We feel that the school SENDCo is very approachable." KS1 Parent
"My child loves coming to school and is integrated into the classroom." KS2 Parent
We know that the school will work with us to get the best possible outcome for my child" KS1 Parent
November 2021 - Feedback From Parents' Evening
As an outstanding school, we are always looking for ways to improve further and value regular feedback from our parent body. Feedback from our parents has always been really positive with 100% of parents saying that their children are happy at our school and 100% of parents saying they would recommend Grappenhall Heys to another parent.
Feedback from our January 2021 parent survey was incredibly positive with almost 100 responses. 100% of parents felt that they are supported by school and 100% of parents stated that they felt our school remote learning offer had improved since the first lockdown.
Although feedback from our parents was overwhelmingly positive, as a school we welcome suggestions in relation to what we can do better.
The staff are also very grateful to read the lovely comments that have been received. Here are a few we want to share with you, that we feel help celebrate much more than the statistics do in isolation. They represent a strong school community working together to bring to life the schools vision and values.
