Family Support at Grappenhall Heys Community Primary School
Supporting Every Family at Every Stage
At our school, we believe that when families thrive, children flourish. This page brings together everything you need to know about the support available — in school, in Warrington, and in your home.
We're a school that grows with you
As a growing two form entry school, we are expanding our community - and with it, our commitment to every child and family who walks through our doors. We know that life can be complex, and that children do best when the whole family feels supported.
You don't have to face challenges alone. Whether you need a listening ear, practical help at home, or connection to wider services, our staff are here as a first, trusted step.
Our Warrington Context
Warrington is one of only 10 local authorities in England chosen as a Families First for Children Pathfinder — meaning families here have access to some of the most progressive early help and family support in the country, backed by national government reform.

Understanding Support Levels
The Continuum of Need
Not every family needs the same level of support — and that's completely normal. Support is offered across a spectrum, from everyday guidance right through to more intensive statutory intervention. Most families will only ever need the lower tiers.

Mental Health and Wellbeing
We know that emotional and physical wellbeing are deeply connected — and that when we feel mentally well, everything else becomes a little more manageable. At our school, we actively support children to understand and express their feelings, and we want families to feel equally supported at home.
Whether your child is finding things difficult or you're simply looking to open up the conversation, the NHS resources below are a gentle, trusted starting point:

Help Rooted in Partnership
Our school works closely with Warrington's statutory and voluntary services to make sure the right help reaches every family — including support that can come directly to your home.
An Economic Support Offer
Whilst school is not in a position to provide direct financial assistance, we are committed to making sure no family misses out on help that exists in our wider community. Wherever we become aware of financial support, grants, or practical resources - whether local, regional or national - we will share these here and through our usual communications. We will always try to connect families with the right help at the right time.
