Grappenhall Heys is an outstanding and popular Community Primary School, situated in South Warrington. We have wonderful well-motivated pupils, an enthusiastic and committed staff and Governing Body, inspirational senior leaders, supportive parents and strong links with the community.
The school is seeking to appoint a inspirational, enthusiastic higher level teaching assistant, who is able to deliver teaching and learning throughout school and is willing to take part in the life of the school. The role will involve covering PPA time across school.
We have availability for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant Level 3 – Fixed term for 12 months from 1st September 2025 to to 31st August 2026 (with the possibility of extending).
Salary: Grade 5, post is Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 3:30pm (26 hours per week)

Applications are invited from inspirational higher level teaching assistants who:
- can work alongside teachers and other support staff to support and develop the literacy and numeracy skills of pupils
- have an ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with the pupils, parents and staff
- have experience of working with children with specific needs
- are able to work as part of a team
- demonstrate strong behaviour management skills in line with school policy
- conform to school policies and procedures – safeguarding, welfare, health and safety and data protection
- undergo any training required in order to perform relevant duties efficiently
- support the teaching of a curriculum that allows pupils to achieve and make progress
- be a patient and understanding champion of vulnerable pupils
